Good point...China built a wall - I hear people love it.

It's simple...in 8-12 years the tide will have turned and the Conservatives will again be in power. Then after they've had their turn, we'll turn Liberal again. It's the political cycle. We have the wishy-washy undecided moderates to thank for that.

Can I have my tax cut now?
We must be thinking about two different Barack Obamas.

McCain is a really class act. I voted for him, was sorry to see him lose. But at the same time I have a strange sense of optimism...

That's democracy for ya. I maintain that there should be an IQ test to vote. I'd put my money on McCain winning if that were a requirement. I'll bet if you did a man-on-the-street interview of current events, pick the lowest performers, and then ask who they're voting for, they'll answer "Obam...

I've been a PC user for 10+ years. I bought a Macbook 2 months ago and I love it. I find that I'm interacting more with my applications than I am my operating system. Leopard OS just doesn't bug you as much as Vista. I know the nuisances can be tweaked away in Vista, but I've got better things to do.

I'd refute that by pointing to how the Obama campaign has been run the past 20 months. Look at the things that have changed from any other campaign in the past: 1. More money than any other campaign. 2. First democrat to go into southern states and challenge them seriously (no, Bill Clinton doesn't...

Also, retort me with facts. Save the moral whining for someone who isn't going to win on Nov 4. I actually think I could go along with you (as unfair as I think it is) if I knew that the extra taxes would be put toward lowering debt. They won't. Nothing will change, government will spend more regar...

All for a measly 3% increase that you personally won't even feel unless you make over $250k. Now I've never made that much money, but during the dot.com boom, I made a comfortable six figures, and I can tell you right now that 3% to me wouldn't have even been a dent in my lifestyle. If my governmen...

Crackles and Dropouts when Playing Fast

Is it normal for dropouts to occur more frequently once I start shredding like a god? My theory is my A/D (or D/A) simply can't keep up with me.

Anyone else have this problem?

and what you just said does not change the fact that if i write some music in 4/4, then decide to erase the 4/4 at the beginning and replace it with a 2/2 it will be twice as fast if played at the same tempo...
Agree.

The way it seems to me is the bottom number being 2 instead of 4 is nearly irrelevant if you're not notating. If what you hear from a metronome is "click click click click", then in 4/4 you count one-two-three-four and you notate each note with a quarter note. If instead you're in 2/2 you ...
