Re: Surge VST in Live 9.6
Unfortunately Surge on Mac is 32-bit only. You could try using a VST bridge, such as jBridge https://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridgem/ However, that site says 10.11 support is still to be implemented. There is also an audio unit bridge - 32 Lives http://www.soundradix.com/products/32-lives/ Note: I can...

Re: M4L device Multimapper - renaming dials
Now that is what I call support! Fantastic, thank you! It worked beautifully.mothergarage wrote:I uploaded an altered device with instructions how to edit to my dropbox. If any more questions arise, feel free to ask.
Basically you have to edit the "Short Name" of the dials in the Inspector.

M4L device Multimapper - renaming dials
Hi, Quick summary: I'm using Multimapper ( http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device/2409/multimapper32midi ), in a Drum Rack to map to volume, pan, and sends per cell so that I can access those easily via Push. Unfortunately, once you've mapped the dials, the names don't update on Push, so you will ...

Re: Jitter on Macro movment when using M4L Patches?
I was intending to use Sixteen Macros in Drum Rack cells to gain control of volume, pan, and sends from Push, but when I actually went to build out a rack using it, I was getting some weirdness where the first encoder on Push wasn't mapping to the first dial in Sixteen Macros. So thanks to a tip fro...

Re: Stability of Sixteen Macros in Live 9?
Legacy is purely the status thats allowed for 3rd party developers like me to install a device into your Live browser... Oh, I didn't realize that. Thanks for the info. I wouldn't think you'd have issues, but you have alternatives if you need. Look up Multimapper on maxforlive.com Cool, I will take...

Stability of Sixteen Macros in Live 9?
Hi,
I'm thinking of using the Covert Operators Sixteen Macros device per drum rack cell to gain access to send levels via Push. Has anyone done this in Live 9 and can comment on the stability? I'm just hesitant because the device shows up as a "legacy" device in the browser.
Thanks.

Re: java version
For some reason, M4L seems to require one specific, older version of Java supplied by Apple to work.
Find it here https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572
I am using that with Yosemite 10.10.3

Re: drum rack note length vs note trigger?
I'm not familiar with Reason so I'm not sure if you can get it to behave exactly the same. But if you want hits to overlap you need to disable Re-trigger. At the lower right of a Simpler in a Drum Rack cell you will see an "R" in a box. Make sure that is off. (In the color scheme I use, of...

If you have a Guitar Center nearby, check it before ordering online. I just got one for 449$, which is cheaper than listed on the website.

BonnoumaruJPN: As a workaround, here is what you can do. Drag in an empty Audio Effect Rack to the end of your device chain. Click the Show/Hide Chain List button to unfold the chain list. Right Click in the area where it says "Drop Audio Effects Here" and select the option Create Chain . ...

Re: Weird 2013 Macbook Retina Latency Issue
I don't think anyone can answer that for you. Why not get a new model Retina and test it yourself with your setup. If it doesn't work for you, return it and get the older model refurb.

Re: Weird 2013 Macbook Retina Latency Issue
Can anyone say then, with headphones plugged in, core audio will have workable latency, correct? I'd love to get a nw MBP Retina (want hi-res), but I record vocals in Live 9 with a USB mic. I need low latency for rhythmic precision, I'm very sensitive to that. I don't want an external interface, I'...

Re: Question about saving and moving files in Lives browser?
Instead of clicking the Save button you can simply drag the device into your library. So first browse to the folder in your library where you want the preset to go, and then drag from the title-bar of the device into the location you browsed to.
