Can Arturia Moog Modular do Arturia Minimoog too?

I understand the fact that modular is more like Ableton Analog in that I can reconfigure it and the mini has "hardwired" modular flow patching. But I have been playing with them and what I would like to know is: should I be able to recreate a sound on the Modular that I easily created on t...

looking for "Little Demo" using Operator

Ableton provided a killer example of Operator called "Little Demo" one or two years ago. I seem to have lost the set. Anyone know where I can obtain it?

Here is a track I made from the original Ableton set:

Please recommend a site to post a short mp3 so I can link

Please recommend a site to post a short mp3 so I can link a post here to it. I am disappointed that a forum about sound creation doesn't permit mp3 attachments.

Thanks.

looking for a moog classic sounds set of presets for Live 8

The Live 8 Suite came with many fine presets that seem to touch on just about anything one could want to hear. However, I am interested in a package of presets for either Operator or Analog that clearly produces the classic Moog sounds. I do see other software synths and plugins that say they have t...

Re: Basic question - How do I copy a short bit from a larger bit

Thanks. I think I understand. One question, are you saying that I can open multiple projects simultaneously?

Basic question - How do I copy a short bit from a larger bit

I have a long song loaded into Live 8 and I want to select a very short clip then copy that clip into a clip loop in another Live 8 project. I can't get the copy and paste to work across two different Live 8 projects.

How?

Thanks,
Dave

Re: MIDI Map Mode isn't working in 8 for me - it did in 7

Got it working. The problem was that I had the Axiom set to off on some of the bottom portions of the midi preferences. Can you tell me what all nine mean?

MIDI Map Mode isn't working in 8 for me - it did in 7

I may be doing something wrong but I don't think so. I used Live 7 on OSX with an Axiom 25 and the MIDI Map Mode worked find. I upgraded to OSX 10.6 and Live 8 and now I can't get MIDI Map Mode to work. When I select the MIDI button in Live, everything is high lighted like in 7. But when I select a ...

Is there a way to view instrument settings as parameter list

It would be nice to be able to see and set the parameters for an instrument, Operator for example, in a text list instead of the GUI. This would make it much easier to fiddle with parameters when working from an existing set of settings.

What is best method to create mp3 on Mac?

I think I understand that Live 7 can not export to mp3. But I need mp3 as input to SoundSlides application. Please tell me the best quality tool or method to go from Live 7 to an mp3.

A free tool is great so long as it has very good quality.

Thanks.

Specifically creating sounds using Analog.

I have been studying several analog patching books but having difficulty applying it to Analog. I would very much like to see tutorials that cover Analog and Operator in detail with good, real world, examples.

I wish Ableton published movies for all Suite instruments

I really like the tutorial movies at Ableton. But it can be difficult to figure out which ones apply to the current version and which ones only apply to older versions.

I would very much like to see turorial movies that detail each of the instruments, expecially the new ones like Analog, etc.
