Anyone know how he/they do it and what he/they use for rograms,synths,hardware...etc.

is this stuff possible with Live and a fair synth? (like the Alesis Ion i have.)

Any way... I can get the clicks and crackles (i tap a guitar cable when it's unpluged. then I took individual cracks and put them into impulse and added random. It makes rhythmic cracks.)

But i cant get the audio to start and stop like that. little ...

Does anyone know how she gets all those little cuts, clicks and pops?
Does anyone know how to do this in live?

I'm thinking useing random and midi, but i dont know where to start.

I looked

cant find it.

the grey box's only seem to bring up inserts not VSTs like Crystal or mda plugins. I only get chanel plugins or i/o. I cant find any vst's there. where would i find a place to select a vst folder? ...or something like that.

Also, another problem:
When I rewire live into pt, I select live as an ...

By the way, does anyone know how to run VST's in pro tools?

got it all figured out.

spent a fiew hours reading 'bout pro tools and its slow going yes, but it'll do anything you tell it to. (If you have the cpu.)
Not verry creative though.

Also, is it just me.. or is pro tools VERY inefficiant?
The midi takes for ever to wright, the track sizes cant be easily stretched, ...ect.

When I said "A real synth," i meant for the word 'real' to describe my value of the synth, not the physical state of it. I know full well that it's a modeling synth.

This may be a dumb question, but how do you quantize the ends fo midi notes and not just the beginings?

I have a set of 4 chords that I want to be held, and end at the end of each bar. Currently i have to go in and stretch each note individualy.

Well, personaly, i'm quite unhappy with all those little soft synths. They all seem to be very flat, mid range only. I just got an Alesis Ion and there is no competition. You should pay for what you get, and for 150$ you should get more than ableton is giveing you. My guess is that eventuly operator ...

Can live export Sysex files? I'm trying to update the firmware for my ion synth, but Live cant see the .syx file in its browser?

The first major problems with live that i've found with live so far:

1) No crossfades on individual tracks. Im produceing my entire CD in live (I'll post some of it later) and i have a rainstorm track that im useing. I want to use the thunder from this 30 min. rain track, but the crashes are fiew ...
