I have almost 150 scenes in my set, but have no slow down or glitches. However 90% of mine are midi clips... It's unlikely the number of scenes are causing the slow down, instead the lack of memory caused by the number of clips in those scenes. Although live does disc streaming, it still has to load...

I use ableton to send midi information through to arkaos.

Arkaos has thousands of still images loaded in, which are displayed and sequenced in time with whatever happens in live...

very hypnotic.

I think you need to have lots of little tricks, for each different situation. Sometimes i turn off the warping all together for one tune whilst I move the tempo, othertime masses of fx to sooth the transition. You can also try warping the tunes incorrectly... for example: a track played originally a...

No videos that I know of, you just have to make do with the insane manuals. I found the best way is just to plug it in and have a fiddle with each control, looking at what messages it sends (since you can't manually change the assignments). They take a while to get to grips with, but they are well w...

Got rid of mine, had to spend half hour just trying to get XP to recognise it each time I wanted to use it (kind of kills your motivation). Think in all I only use it twice in two months. Also where it says it has headphone outs, don't be fooled into thinking this means two seperate outputs, one for...

Sorry if this sounds obvious, but have you got audio leads plugged in? Midi only carries data signals, nowhere near the bandwidth for audio.

If you change the names of the wav files in the ableton browser, it will change the als name too (saves half the work),

also if you have the set open, change the file name in the ableton browser, then save your work, you won't have any annoying missing sample messages.

Does anybody else hate Beatport

Get a tune a few weeks ago, and only the first 2 mins of it downloaded. I thought no prob's, will just re-download it. But no, it wouldn't let me. So I e-mailed Beatports customer support.... 4 times now in 4 weeks. It's now been 2 months and I still have had no reply. Unfortunately Beatport is the ...

This is one of the problems / wonders of ableton.... it is, in a way, modular; as in you need to actually work out exactly what you want to do... and then work out how you are going to achieve your goals. It can be frustrating, but in the long run it is so much more satisfying and rewarding that it ...
