I tried quite a few things, including playing a midi track from ableton with notes already recorded, putting the external instrument on the track to send this to the 303. Ableton is definitely sending midi on channel 1. But the 303 is not receiving it....

Also wondering if I can change the behaviour of buttons. so that once I have assigned a button to an effects send, when I press the button the send goes to full and this is only while I am holding the button down and when I release the button the send goes back to 0.
