Re: Voicing the A minor chord - BEAUTIFUL!!!!
abletonaaayy, zup bruz chord device, set one to 3, 5, 7, 10, 14, and 17. if you look closely at the video, these are all of the relative intervals to his root, A. He's playing an A minor chord, with a minor7th, minor9th, minor4th, and an octave above the minor4th (right?). if you play single notes, ...

Re: Best Sounding DAW
why are dudes who don't like ableton posting on the ableton forum?
I put a dowel rod on a lil dc motor, didn't sound too hot. also my drumset is out of tune.
I also need new shoelaces, mine ripped.

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions
for those of yall asking about limiting the faders to 0dB. midi map them! to themselves of course. when im doing original performance stuff (as in not djing) i map the sliders to their corresponding tracks and map the midi max to the level i want the slider to be at for whatever mix ive come up with...

Re: any DX7 / TX7 users out there? (hardware!)
i absolutely love my dx7! the keyboard is totally tits. i fly all over it, it's my midi controller for live and my sh-32 as well. i never really understood what people meant when they said it's hard to program fm. parameters change sounds, it's just like every other synth ever. it IS tedious to prog...

Re: Why is ableton so freaking quite?!

Re: Tutorial - Granular Synthesis in Ableton Live
sweet! something else along those lines... get your audio file in a simpler. big brackets are around the entire amount of sound you want to mess with. Set the loop really tiny, with the fade all the way fading, so you got a nice little smooth tone, the modulate (or play!) the loop size and the start...

Re: Roland sh-32 vs. Microkorg
i'm playing with mine right now, sitting on my bed. i haven't played it with a keyboard in a while, i have a mopho and dx7 fo dat (biatch!) but i really love making an arpeggiator pattern (basically a sequencer, super easy to use) and mucking with the lfos (two of them that can go to multiple destin...

Re: Whats that effect? Again.
i think you nailed already bud. it's a looped sample of a piece of a phrase, with a lowpass filter opening up. maybe some chorus, and what sounds like someone whispering at the beginning. i think you could make these effects and much cooler ones if you start with all that and go nuts.
