music recorded to DAT is LOST FOREVER because it sounds so horrible!!!



thats why nobody like records from the late 80`s till the early 90`s......

in the end you listen to a song, and a song is a song is a song, no matter in which quality recorded, isnt it?

i often edit drumrecords and i have to deal with changing tempos, now im working with digital performer, but im planing to buy ableton life.
this is a very essential feature for me.

have someone noticed, that it is impossible to play drumnotes from the computerkeyboard on the mac?
on my pc everything works well, but on my mac (ibook g4-768mb) it is not possible
to play faster notes, or retrigger notes.
i have everytime a strange delay (and no, thats not a latency issue ...

the only thing i miss, is the typical pitchfx by changing the delaytime.

is someone outthere whit experience about the m-audio fw 18/14, how much cpu take it with all i/o`s enabled, how sound it, what is the lowest latenz?
