Re: My YouTube tutorials for producers!

Nice, thank you for taking the time to record these video tutorials. I've definitely learned a few cool things from watching them, and I'm definitely going to subscribe. ;)

Watching you on the cloud, too.

Hope to see more from you!

Re: For ambient, IDM and experimental...

I can't read some of the text, but I instantly went towards the album with the planet artwork... Love it so far, very interesting textures on the first track, although some of the instruments and sounds have quite a harsh timbre... Had to turn my volume down! sorry if it hurt your ears man! obvious...

Re: Snow Wolf (New Age-ish)

Hehe, I wish I could work on more than one project at a time - I really do! I guess I have an obsession problem, which I'm sure you've heard plenty about. I tried playin' around with the multi-sample flute you sent to me, and I just couldn't get it to fit properly. Maybe in a couple months I'll re-d...

Re: Producing House Music with Ableton Live: Arrangement & FX

I just finished watching all the videos you've created, Tim.

Absolutely wonderful, and your voice is just so sexy and pleasing to listen to. I usually get bored when I watch instructional videos, but not this time.

I think you need to make moar.

Re: Can you automate parameters in VST's youve broughtinto Live?

Shit, I forgot to ask which version of live you're running. You will need to have live8 in order to access the 'configure' tab. When you drag and drop Massive into a new track, there will be a down arrow button on the device. If you click that down arrow button, it will basically expand the configur...

Re: Can you automate parameters in VST's youve broughtinto Live?

Hey, I went and loaded massive up into a midi track and unfolded the device parameters so I could customize the parameters. Basically, click 'configure' mode and in Massive select each individual parameter you want to map to your midi controller (in this case, I use an mpk61). Exit configure and ent...

Re: save effects chain as preset

Yes,

You'll want to have your Live Device Browser window open on the left, and head to your Audio Effects folder. Drag and drop your Audio Effects Rack in to the Audio Effect Rack folder in your Live Devices browser, and it will save it as a preset (you can rename it here).

This is how I do it. :)

Re: full screen midi editor piano roll

Move your mouse to the divider between the midi piano roll and either your session/arrangement view (whichever you are on), and you should see the arrow change to a vertical dual arrow. Click and drag the divider all the way up, and this should be what you 'kind of' want. At least, this is what I th...

The 13 best free VST plug-ins in the world today

I know the title is subjective, but I found an interesting article from one of the newsletters I am signed up for. I haven't tried out any of the VST's yet, but I figured it would be something nice to share for those of you who are on a budget (like me!). http://www.musicradar.com/tuition/tech/the-1...
