I'll have to play around with it, I think the fog is starting to clear! I'm working on a mix down with some live drums on it at the moment, and I'm looking for a way to bring the kit forward in the mix without killing the dynamics of it.

also thinking the new sidechain might help.

Just had a chance to play with the demo for the first time. started working through some of the pad sounds in Analogue and my hand is already reaching towards my credit card. you have to download them seperately, follow downloads page from the main site and you'll find them. I've played with some the Analogue and Electric ones so far, very nice.

parralel compression - Can really fatten up your drums. just wanted to give a +1 to this trick. Isn't it just the same as reducing the compresion ratio and increasing the gain? I can see the point of putting two compressors in parellel with different thresholds to create a more complex curve though...

I just downloaded the Live 7 demo and wanted to quickly try out the new instruments before deciding on buying the full suite. It would be so much easier to judge if there were a few instument racks in the demo download to showcase the new instruments.

Or did something go wrong with my install?

In the beta if you authorised on line it would detect the other liscnces and enter the serials automatically, has this changed in the release version?

Compression is normally an inline effect, it doesn't really make sense to mix a compressed version of a signal with the original. The only reason for using compression on a return channel would be to precondition a signal before passing it to another effect or to compress the wet signal from a prece...

Where are the fact sheets located?

2. you can run the loop continuously but muted and then use the note from the drum pad to toggle the track mute button. That way you can bring the loop in and out in the middle of a bar.
