Re: WIndows 7 64 Bit + Live 8 Stability
Any other opinions/comments on the matter? ^__^ As I posted a day or two ago, Live 8.1 isn't working at all for me in Win7 64-bit Home Premium. It crashes consistently when I try to get it to scan my VSTi folder. No answer yet to my post, so I guess it's time for a message to tech support. --Jim Ai...

Re: done with bandcamp.com
Try emailing their support. I had a problem where one of my tracks would not play after uploading it. They replied within a few hours and fixed it. They were also incredibly nice and apologetic about it.

Re: Quality
The complaints and bad word of mouth have now got to the point where it is damaging Ableton's reputation. This is why they have had to release this statement and shift their development focus. Personally I would have prefer and have more respect for Ableton if they did not do any announcements at NA...

Oh I dunno... http://streetelectronics.com/images/aphextwin5.jpg WTF is that? Picture responses that aren't obvious remind me of my DJ friend who thinks just because I've been on beatport he can start rifling off obscure artists like I hang out with all of them on weekends. "The new Snagel von...

Re: Ableton 8 for debian/ubuntu?
Linux is plenty stable if you don't touch it. Stand back, let it run and it will run forever. No viruses, nothing. But...try to change it, configure it and so on. Load this interesting-looking package and it's dependencies, and unload that one. Lather, rinse repeat. Before you know it, nothing work...

Re: New IDM tune - Fell by Deccan Traps
Nice tune. Could be improved by having more variation and being shortened by a minute or two, but overall enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.

New collection of Electronic tracks
Hi all, I have just finished uploading some new tracks for your listening pleasure. They mostly come under the general 'electronic' genre as I fail to find another term to classify them. Hope they are of some enjoyment to someone. All done within Ableton Live 7/8. Here's the link - http://ambe.bandc...

Re: results of wav versus mp3 poll?
Couple of years back I did some blind A/B testing using Foobar2000 between MP3 and FLAC to see which format I wanted to use to archive my music (and whether it was worth going lossless). Anyway, turns out I could tell the difference between 192kbps MP3 and FLAC, but above that I had a hard time tell...

Re: Live 8 Crashes on VST directory Scan Everytime 100%
I had a problem with Sampletank crashing, after emailing Ableton it turns out running Live as administrator (right click on the Live icon and click 'Run as administrator') solves the problem. Perhaps this will help with your issue.
