Re: Define 'organic'
...sampled water drops, monks chanting, flutes being put thru tape loops n shit....all that arpegiated 'gloopy' smooth stuff associated with the psy-type tunes made by (amongst others) yer man Simon Posford (Halucinogen, Shpongle, Younger Brother etc..) Loads of you tube vids of him in the studio to...

Re: Live 8 demo...... :(
bump.
I've got me credit card ready for the up-grade if someone can convince me that Live 8 will 1) take my existing music collection and 2) give me the same latency live 7 did.
Otherwise I'll continue to make my tunes with Live 7.
No brainer.
No sale though

Re: ot - G20 London, man attacked by police, dies moments later
I've a mate that works for the BBC in Bristol, just passed some new info on this.....does it smell of a police cover-up? Who knows...? ------------------------------------------------ The guy didn't work on a newspaper stand - he was selling the big issue (magazine sold by homeless people in the UK)...

For most mainstream stuff i use Play.com though for techno/breakbeat etc.. In use 3 Beat Records based in Liverpool, can even buy pre-warped tracks.

How did Barclays do so well out of it? They seem to be stating record profits for 2008 whilst the rest are floundering in a financial k-hole? I dont trust any of them - The company I work for are owned by some big 'venture capital lloyds of london shizzle' thats only happy when we trundle along nicl...

I think if we should all go back to the bartering system and trade our comodities/services with each other and take ugly 'cash' right out of the loop. I'll start the proceedings by playing all my future gigs for the rider and birds alone. My painter/decorator brother in-law has been made red...

Most of my techniques i use to get a rich, warm sound are from my old school, 1980's 4 track days but still seem to work for me today.... I normaly avoid using too many fx, especialy compression and favour using volume envelopes/automation on the offending part. This gives me more control and doesnt...

I'd like a guitar fx unit thats controled in the same way as the Virtual Theramin by Cycling 74 (Controled with a web cam). Would be great to controll the wah-wah etc with just the movement of the guitar neck. To be honest, I didnt have much joy with the web-cam-theramin when i tried it so could alt...
