Re: Too risky to buy a firewire interface these days?
RME is a good, but very expensive brand and has very good support with drivers. Unlike M-audio, Focusrite and Presonus, wich are total crap with their driver support! RME all the way! I've owned interfaces by all of those brands and the only one that hasn't caused me grief is my RME. If I knew then...

Re: Too risky to buy a firewire interface these days?
Firewire def is better than USB2 in terms of in/out. No experience of USB3 for audio. If you are on a Mac, then a Firewire to Thunderbolt adapter sounds great and will keep your firewire unit going for years. At least Macs have some forward compatability, nothing exists like that for PCs, it seems....

Check your fades as well, you might have a fade at the beginning generated by the "Create Fades on Clip Edges" setting.

Re: Ghost producers
Business relationships happen all the time where people make something that inevitably ends up having another name stamped on it. As long as everyone is cool with the relationship, no harm no foul. From an artistic standpoint it sounds shitty, but most ‘Pop Artists’ are nothing more than glorified p...

Re: Mac V. PC. Age old debate
My suggestion is to use the environment you are most comfortable working in. If you buy a good PC, these days, the difference is negligible. My ThinkPad has been rock solid the last few years, and quite frankly has had less audio software/driver/compatibility related problems than many of my peers M...

It's not really an argument. That's the average range
That is, unless you are trying to argue 70bpm vs 140bpm, in which case it's an argument of perception.

Re: If I export at 120 BPM, Traktor reads it as 60 BPM. Why?
Again, I blame Dubstep. Dubstep is half DnB tempo of 170 which should be 85 but these clowns still produce at 170 because, well, I don’t know why the fuck they do that. And slower tempos seem to be all the rage now (even for dance music WTF) and I’m sure there are plenty of other producers composin...

Re: apc mini & xone db2
I have a DB2, works great as a PC interface for me but apparently still has some issues with older Macbooks. I would make sure you don't have one of those models if you plan on using it as an interface.

Exactly. Sounds like a party to me.TomViolenz wrote: But if something new rises, it's not because of these celebrity DJs and the stale hype used up in too many TV commercials. It will be despite of it!!!
