bit depths sample rate problem

Here's the thing. We are going into the studio to record an album. The engineer works in sample rate 24/96. When i render my loops to 24/96 the files won't play in itunes...is this normal?

I tried the same thing in cubase - the files wouldn't play

it has done it before without the 410 - when i was running it on tiger. Im going to do an erase and install, and download everything cleanly straight onto my mac and run live by itself for a while and then put the 410 driver on to see what happens....It's annoying because the crashes are always ...

I have had numerous problems with my new powerbook 12inch....

Live freezes, cubase freezes...could this be a result of my firewire 410??? I've sent it to apple to do a hardware test - as far as they are concerned it is working fine, it's just when i run my music apps. They also hit me with 66 bucks ...

run live off a usb stick

I was just wondering if you think live would run ok if i ran my audio samples off of a usb stick - the application would be installed on the hard drive though.
The reason is because i want as much hard disk space for my cubase recording projects.
ALso any idea how big a five track EP would be in ...

best ext harddrive for live

Anyone know of a good external hard drive to use with live. Is USB2 faster than firewire? (where did i hear that, feels like i'm asking a stupid question) And also, would i use the same external drive to back up my audio files - or should i be buying two external harddrives.....

cheers aljen. I have had so much bad luck with my new powerbook - it's nice to hear sum good news. In your opinion though do you think i need to run live off a faster hard drive or not?? If so it wouldn't need to be a huge 120gb one coz my samples wouldn't go no way near 10gig.

We are starting ...

I spoke to a guy in tech support in melbourne and he said that the powerbooks are too slow to use live with - great. Is he for real? I had no problem using my ibook with ...
