you could quantize the note length and let the note start on the next 16th for example. the only case that wouldnt work is if the note is hit a little bit too late.

quantizing in real time

is it possible to quantize incoming midi notes so they are played quantized? i know of record quantization but it still seems to play back the notes immediately without quantization and only the recorded clip itself gets quantized. i.e. you hear the quantization when you play back the recorded clip.

Peter Murphy (Bauhaus) meets Synths and Beats

i was making an electronic track with a chord progression that happened to be the same as a chord progression in the song "Strange Kind of Love" by Peter Murphy from Bauhaus. So i cut some vocals and guitar out and layered it into my track. i like the melancholic feel of the song but I fee...

i just found a way. you right click on the arpeggiator and select group. this will put it in a midi effect rack. then you can insert a new empty chain and in the envelopes you can select the empty chain or the one with the arpeggiator using the chain selector

downtempo jam

hey guys, i'm posting my first jam with my flatmate (saxophonist) and me using ableton live for rhythm, synths and effects. i prepared the chord progressions and the beat more or less but the rest is improvised. its 50 minutes cut down to 20 which is still kind of long. i'd be happy to get suggestio...
