Unbalanced would only be a problem if you need to run the cables more than 14'. Balanced is not inherently better sounding.fishmonkey wrote:well they are unbalanced outputs so that could be a problem at times...

Having just skimmed all the responses, forgive me if someone already stated what I'm about to state. To answer a question with a question...
Is Daft Punk a pro act? Richie Hawtin? Sasha? The B-52s? Kanye West? Cirque du Soleill? Skrillex? Etc, etc, etc...all use Live in some capacity.

Re: A soundcard with no issues at all ?
RME Fireface 800 is incredibly stable and has 10 analog outs, plus another 18 digital. Best drivers in the business, great converters, awesome Total Mix software and great metering software too. Not cheap, but worth every penny. I've had mine for 8 years and still love it.

Re: Maschine for beats, Ableton for arranging?
You can setup clips in Live to launch the scenes in Maschine... I prefer the program change method personally. But if you want, you can also mix and match dragged clips with Machine's scenes, which is probably best.

Re: Integrating Patchbay into Home Studio with Ableton ay my DAW
First off, your audio interface is key, as is the internal mixer that comes with it. The RME Fireface 800 is worth looking at for its routing capabilities and also its general awesomeness. Depending on how much outboard gear you get, that and one good patch bay should be more than sufficient. If you...

Re: Anyone know how to make this Gesaffelstein sound?
I've been obsessing over these two songs by Gesaffelstein- such a great artist. Anyone have any insights or tips on how to design the bass sound he uses in these two tracks? Any help would be greatly appreciated! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kkqnK6jaXU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIbOoYAL_oE ...

Re: How do I "Solo Exempt" a track in Live?
There is no word of it in the manual guys - can ya help out? Solo Exempt means to me that the exempted track would continue to play and be heard even when any other track is solo-ed. Thanks for your brilliance as usual ;-) Groovacious There is no way to solo safe/solo isolate a track in Live. If So...
