I'm running a MacBook Pro 2.16 HGz Intel Core Duo, 2 GB Ram, OSX (10.4.11) and I'm getting dropouts like crazy, plus weird CPU spikes, in both 7.0.3 and also 7.0.1 before it -- this is including in brand-new tracks I'm just starting to write, with very moderate use of samples & audio clips and a few ...

I don't know if this is a u-he bug or an Ableton one, but since upgrading to 7, I notice that the red "close window" button on u-he's MFM2 is grayed out, and won't allow you to close the window. That's new since I upgraded.

i've read the evolver manual and tried plenty of trial and error, but i'm still not getting it.

how does one trigger the evolver's in-board sequencer from live? i'm assuming i set up a MIDI clip in live, route it to the evolver, and then set the evolver's "trigger select" function accordingly. but ...

i have yet to figure out how to create my own templates or use the thing effectively for any VST plugins (like my microtonic), and i find novation's documentation aggravatingly inadequate...

I've had the same problem - additionally, VSTs that I used earlier seem to have disappeared (which means that some tracks I had almost completed now are missing their fundamental drum parts, etc.... a real bitch).

thanks! that's about what i expected, but my cursory trial-and-error (ha, cursory - first i tried mapping all the numbers in a damn spreadsheet!) yielded poor results. i will try again - and will take both your advice about learning to sequence the sucker directly.

well, it's a very amateur attempt... not really for public consumption, ha ha.
but anyway, thanks for the tip. i've starting to suspect that i'm sort of going about the MD backwards, so maybe i'll give this method a shot... cheers!

thanks for the tip! honestly i haven't waded into sequencing w/ the MD at all, preferring to write patterns in Live, but i may shift my method.

Does anyone know how to assign MIDI control numbers for the MachineDrum - in other words, so that you can draw MIDI actions in the envelope view in Live that will modulate the MachineDrum's controls.

The MachineDrum manual contains an index of MIDI Control numbers but I can't for the life of me ...

Did this update disappear? All I see on the download page now is a Live 4 update - nothing for 5.

that's good to know, as reaktor is one of the things i've essentially had to leave out of the mix, for slowness reasons. and thanks for the compliment!
