Yea, I read that one of the main reasons for vinyl taking off again was that a buyer at Best Buy ordered 20000 REM vinyl by mistake. One of the store managers put them on the shelf and they sold 20 copies in a day. Ever since, all of the major retailers have bolstered their vinyl store space and all...

You'rer kidding right? Why would you want to take one of the best reputed manufacturers products and use it with one of the worst reputed manufacturers products? Have you not heard that a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link? Couple it with some decent ad/preamps, please. You can either lis...

re: the Behringer... 103dB dynamic range <0.01% THD (distortion) <86dB crosstalk is perfectly respectable. Claimed, I'd be really careful around those claimed specs. I don't trust Behringer products, can you tell, he he  Best would be to take an RME Multiface (or other great interface) and the...

No, Live doesn't do sysex or edit mid patches. You can change the patch via Live and record the changes live. Then Live will play those changes back each time.

The ad converters are your sound quality, I'd even rather use the aphex 142 than the behringer.

Live doesn't do sysex, so if you delete it, it's gone. Easiest way is to use the midi patch selectors connected to a clip. That way, each time that clip is played, your nord will switch to that patch. You could aslo then set up dummy clips to switch the patch anywhere in the track.

I charge 50$ per track for analog mastering, 40$ per track for digital mastering (analog takes longer). 12 years experience, PM me for details.

There's a large difference between dirt and colour. Engineers and artists spend millions of dollars adding the right colour to tracks, via expensive synths, great desks, great pre's, great mic's, and tons of amazing outboard gear. One of the reasons many don't like digital is that it doesn't add any...

There are some amazing ensembles being made for Reaktor if you have it. Do a search for mastering ensembles on the NI site. I've been a mastering engineer for over 10 years and there are a lot of ways to do it. For digital mastering in the box, I'm using the UAD card, it rocks! As well as some PSP (...
