Live is 'invented' by a group of people who used Max/Msp for a long time. Some ideas are very 'maxxy', but the app is written in C++

set your 'granalurity' to the number of devisions its has to make in one bar. 4 or 8 work most musical for me. The effect just cuts up the last bar into the number of 'grains' you set, so 4 means in fact a quarter note length. It the does stuff, based on some weird generative algorhythms, wich place...

my two cents is: nothing beats an 808 kickdrum, if you hear it on a live PA pounding your kidneys out. having said that, its pretty lame to claim an 808 kickdrum will have the same impact when recording it 16bit/41.blahKhrz, dithering, mastering etc. included, compared to the real deal. so, yes, tru...

This function doesn't work when you have fixed warp markers.
see if there are fixed markers, un-fix them and try again.

Some of these laptop cards don't supply the power needed for your card and harddisc. Lucky me, M-Audio has a knowledge base where they keep track of PCMCIA cards that DO supply the needed power. Most of these have Texas Insturments chips inside, so that might be a good starting point.

I was in Berlin recently and naturaly I passed by the Abe's office, but all I could see was code, code, code and grapes (in the kitchen). But it would be kinda stupid for a company like Ableton not to be working on the next thing when they are just gaining momentum. They gotta keep it flowing in ord...

and don't think that just posting here will get you gigs. The scene is, albeit very international, very tight. Its filled with jobless people and musicians. Its a nice place to visit, but don't expect they'll turn down their own people for somebody they don't know (yet?).
