Controller dual function
Hi, Might anyone know of a hack that will let an incoming controller cc or note value trigger a sound and also be used to "select device" at the same time? Currently if you map a controller pad or note to "select device" this will take precedent and any instrument will make a noi...

Re: Select device mapping cuts sound
Bump, anyone know of any workarounds? I used to like my old Korg ESX. You press a drum pad, all controls (effectively blue hand) now edit that sound. In ableton, this cannot be done because drum pad/note cc either switches device (enabling blue hand) or triggers the sound. Can't be both. Any help/wo...

Select device mapping cuts sound
Hi,
Seems like mapping a controller pad to both trigger a drum rack pad/sound and simultainiously select a device/track isn't possible. Anyone know a workaround?
They both map, but with device/track select mapped, the drum rack will not sound.
Cheers

Re: Using MIDI controller (OhmRGB) to control Sylenth1?
Hi, Click on configure in the sylenth window (not the sylenth gui but the ableton window for the plugin). When its green just click on any parameter on the synth. These parameters will appear as sliders in the plug in window. Then click out of configure and go to midi assign and assign these to your...

Grouping vs routing
Hi, Is there any advantages/disadvantages of grouping over simply routing the output of several tracks to an audio track set to "monitor in"? Particularily with regard to timing. Thanks. Cant see that much difference myself and just would like to check on peoples experience before I config...

Re: Dj Drop Effect How to?
Hi, thats really cool Tarekith, trouble is, a change of tempo creates havack with a recorded loop. Which is strange because that's what ableton is so good at - real time timesretching, but alas not in the looper it would seem. Any way round this? P.S. At the moment I'm using the freeze function on t...

Ableton doesn't but your audio interface might do. Look for "ASIO Direct monitoring", or "direct monitoring"

Quick looper question
Hi,
I wish I could press the half length button on the looper a few times and then hit the double length button to bring back to the original loop, but it doesn't work like this.
Any suggestions? Undo only works for one iteration.
Cheers

Back to arrangement lights when I'm not doing anything!
Hi, This is wrecking my head. I have no clips in session view. Playing in arrangement view, the back to arrangment light comes on when the first note of a synth (sylenth in this case) happens. Ive traced it to filter cutoff automation. Delete the automation, back to arrangement stays off. Have any a...

Re: Return track latency
Correction. Setting negative latency on a return track does not work, but setting all other tracks to a positive delay does work in eliminating return track latency.
Is there anything wrong with this approach?
