Midi LFO Random is not very Random
Has anyone noticed that Random setting on the Max for Live LFO (I've been using it with the Midi version but imagine it's the same for both) is not very random at all. At least every 1 in 6 changes it returns to the lower extreme. To test - set the rate to 1 bar, and set the other knobs to wherever ...

Re: Apply transients and warp markers and their positions to another clip
Ah OK! Cheers for that - I see what you mean, but maybe there is something else going on too. (not just length) I have been able to get it to work by duplicating a file I recorded in Ableton and then making some random changes to the middle (reversing bits) and then consolidating it. Then yes - as y...

Re: Apply transients and warp markers and their positions to another clip
In the future, if the Clips are the same length you can select them all and Warp them at the same time. Hiya, No that wouldn't have worked for this, that seems to only give access to the basic warp settings. I was doing quite detailed custom warping: moving and creating my own transients and then a...

Re: Apply transients and warp markers and their positions to another clip
Thanks - I gave this a go but it wasn't really what I wanted. I'd already gone wild with added and moving transients and then added n moving warp markers. - I don't this takes that into account - even after I bounced the audio. In the end I managed to get it done - Consolidated all the files to ensu...

Re: Apply transients and warp markers and their positions to another clip
Wow!! Interesting.
I was just about to start "deleting" files and replacing with other files and things like that but I'll first have a play with this.

Apply transients and warp markers and their positions to another clip
Hi, I'd like to be able to duplicate all changes I have made in one clip to another clip - (I wish the new Link Track feature in Live 11 beta worked for clip settings too) I have a live recording of a band that moves around in tempo quite a bit, also its very sparse and syncopated jazz/world music s...

Advanced Midi Device Selection in Tracks
I'd love to be able to have more control over where midi is coming from within each track. So in "Midi From" drop down menu, be able to have more options than simply selecting one or all. An all except one option, or be able to select Two or more would be very useful, even if there was no ...

Arrangement transpose audio clip shortcut
I’m hoping this is an easy question.
I want to simply click a clip and press a key or two to quickly transpose it up and down much like you can with midi.
Did this get added with 10?

Re: ALWAYS playback from last cursor location
Where is the setting to simply always playback from where you last pressed play/where the cursor was? From the manual: 34.5 Transport Play from Start Marker/Stop: Space Continue Play from Stop Point: Shift-Space Space will stop and play from where you last placed the cursor in arrangement or the st...

Re: ALWAYS playback from last cursor location
I feel your pain! The arrange/clip edit playback is very awkward. I ended up downloading keyboard maestro to help with navigation in the arrange window but it doesn't solve your question. You can set up key commands within Ableton to navigate from one locator to the next in case you missed that. Yo...

Re: ALWAYS playback from last cursor location
If this is not possible - a workaround would be a shortcut to play from the previous Locator - does this exist?
Also - a short cut to add a locator at the cursor would also be handy - there doesn't seem to be one for this.

ALWAYS playback from last cursor location
I can't believe it is taking me this long to ask this - I think the main reason I have never gotten used to Arrangement editing over the years is because I HATE the fact after making an edit to a clip -n the playback thenm starts from that clip's startpoint. Where is the setting to simply always pla...

Auto arm tracks
Hi,
When I use my Push, selecting a track turns the rec button to pink/half-lit. This is handy but only works when the channels are set "All in"
I'd like to be able to select a specific midi port and channel and still keep tis feature.
Is this possible?
Thanks,

True edit group or replace with midi.
Hi, I'm hoping this is not a feature request. Is there a way to truly group, or clone two tracks so that any editing - cuts, duplicate, copy paste etc done in one track occur in another track? I haven't used protools for years but pretty sure you could do this. If this isn't possible - than is it po...

Re: Cross-Platform SysEx Externals (& unrestricted MIDI in/out)
Hi, Does the imp.midiin/out handle rt messages? midi clock? If so where would one place the imp.midiin to view Live's rt messages? Or, if this is not possible - if I were to generate clock messages, would imp.midiout transmit them - and if so - would they be sent global or on the midi channel specif...
