I just regisered tonight and am running it very smoothly, no hiccups at all on my TX. I recommend the Palm TX because you an get it relatively cheap ($250 US) and it has Wifi as well (posting from bed now ;) ), so it does lots of cool stuff (ipod format movies, mp3s, lots of games) . My Palm is real...

The Palm TX? 5 continuous hours. You can drain the battery all the way down with no data loss though, which is good.

My Palm TX comes Thursday, and I'll be trying the demo. Here is a cool video demo of Bhaji Loops BTW.

Any Deadheads using Live?

Just curious. I did an electronic version of China Cat Sunflower in Reason and Live, but mostly use Live as a practice tool for guitar.

I gave up on VST amp sims and now just use an amp to get my basic tone, and Live's effects do a good job after that IMO.

I always thought Steve Kimock had a nice little Santana influence going on. If you like Santana I figure you'll like Kimock, and he just released a new album (haven't heard it yet though).

I'd live to have a Palm just for that software, but I wouldn't like to pay for one.

P.S. maybe get experienced users here to write tutorials on some regular basis. Like 'Using Live as a DAW' would be good, for example.

I don't think there is any other user site out there, right? It would probably be in Ableton's best interests to encourage your site, I don't know how but maybe by linking to it from here? Reviews of Live related stuff etc is great for this community.

Good luck!

Can you explain why you feel that way? Pro Tools is designed in a way for the Producer to record live musicians (vocals, guitars, saxaphone, etc.) in multiple takes and then easily go back and extract only the best "parts" from each take and play back as if it were a single track. Live ha...

Yeah 'special interests' is such a load of crap. Funny how they manipulate the masses with simple, stupid phrases like that. I wonder what Orwell would think of it all.

If you aren't running into creative walls with Live I say don't worry what other people thing. Some other DAWs have more in depth Midi, built in/bundles synths, surround support etc. But if you don't need anything but Live rejoice and save your money.

It won't display in the plug rack without opening a new window. I'm wanting one that displays it's UI like all native Live plugs.

Native spectrum analyzer

It would be nice to have a native spectrum analyzer to display like other Live plugs.
