Ableton Forum

i have to agree: Operator is a very nice synth. no doubt! definetly much better than most of the fm stuff out there

but,
it is too expensive (imo 70-80 bucks would be ok)
it uses too much cpu

..., well i will render the demo sounds...

Seriously. If Ableton have been spending the money I've paid them on R&D for another (fucking) soft synth, I'm going to get a bit pissy. But that's just me.

maybe there is a misunderstand. i think the forum is a great source for information (not only about Live). no doubt. ok, some of the tutorials are fun, too. but the rest is very .... ah.... stable !?

i just looked back at the website after a couple of month and actually not much changed as far as i can see. well, of course, the forum changed and is a valueable information source and there are two new tutorials (even though it is as messy as the ableton graphics), but that's it. the lastest news ...
