Do you have another application that will tell/show you a dB level reading in an "averaged" way ? ...so you can check a finished, rendered file.... to be sure? I know Wavelab will, SoundForge, etc. A free one would be Voxengo Span....I forget but ..set it to Averaged..note the readings on ...

In Cubase, search for, and check the box "Release ASIO Driver in Background". You might have to open Cubase first, before Live.
