Re: How to raise volume on a portion of the track

I will say that at least here on the forums with Live’s online manual, it’s possible to quickly link someone to the relevant section of the manual then though. I hate lazy or impatient people who refuse to do their part to learn a complex app like anyone else. But there are people out there new to m...

Re: Is Ableton already working on a ARM version for new Macs to come?

We never comment on when features will be implemented, too many things can interrupt a schedule and then even more people are angry.

Agreed. I'll be doing the same with the 16" M1 MBP the day they are released.

Yes, we just released a new update for Live 10 a couple of days ago in fact.

Re: Live sets take a lot of time to load

I agree that I doubt it's going to make any difference at all in the issues you're having. Waste of money if that's the only reason you're getting it.

Did you make sure all your plug ins are up to date with the most recent versions?

Re: Push 1 vs Push 2

The use of color coding and unique graphics for some parameters on Push 2 makes it MUCH easier to know where you are at a glance. There's a lot less generic interface UI used, which I find useful. Also the new button layout is a lot more intuitive for me as well.

Interesting, I didn’t even realize that was an option in arrange view. Thanks!

I would assume strip silence is something that only makes sense in arrange view.

Re: Phase issues during tempo automation

Complex and Complex Pro warping will alter the audio even if your recorded audio is at the same tempo as the project. All of the other warp modes are completely neutral as long as the audio file tempo is the same as the project.

Re: Should I Dither?

Usually I would reach for something else if I was working on VERY dynamic and quiet music, say a string quartet or something more classical. In those cases where people might actually be hearing extended decay tails on higher end systems, I might choose to go with POW-r2 or POW-r3 dithering. Maybe t...

Re: Why is there STILL no strip silence in Ableton 11???

I like it when doing mixdowns for clients, it cleans up all the dead space allowing me to get a better idea of someone else's arrangement. It might also help if you have a LOT of tracks and you're getting drop outs from your disk access being too slow.

Re: Should I Dither?

You should dither when exporting the master, that should be all you need. If you're unsure of which dither to use, triangular is your best bet (it's what I use 95% of the time even though I have access to other dithering algorithms).

No issues here either, Live 11 runs the same as Live 10 on my system.
