I've found a workaround. I did manage Sampler to behave almost like Simpler (loop start modulation, etc) and can map pressure directly to Loop Start. Every Expression Control I delete decreases CPU load by a considerable amount. I think I stand by my layman theory that the device is still a CPU hog....

Your solution doesn't apply because I need one per drum rack cell. Each Expression Control is triggered by one single note. If you could make Simpler an MPE capable instrument on its own, my problem would cease to exist. Using Sampler doesn't work, because Simpler and Sampler handle Sample Start and...

No. Some have four slots in use while some have only one. Most of them use between 1-3 slots

I made an experiment. I deleted a big chunk of the set, leaving the parts that use most of the Expression Control devices. Deleting lowered the CPU load by 2-3% only. One track has a Drum Rack, which has 23 Expression Controls. When I turned the drum rack off, my CPU load fell down to a constant 10%...

This parameter allows the pitched-playing of the convolution reverb. It'd be awesome if it could be controlled by MIDI and CV, and mapped to MIDI.
