Re: Roland "Aira" - hardware drum machine :)
Since NONE of it is TRUE analog, can't they just make the whole system a plug in??? Yeah right! :) If it's going to be digital, might as well be a plugin, I mean why not? That way it doesn't take up a huge spot on my desk for something that's not used all that frequently. I understand the desire fo...

Remove Sample From Simpler?
Is there any way to remove a sample from simpler so the sample screen is initialized? I'm creating some default drum rack templates and I don't see the option when I right click the sample.

Re: Session Drums (Multimic, Studio, Club) Differences?
Yeah I just bought some other packs too and I've been going through them. I just started with The Loop Loft HipHop right now and it doesn't seem like a whole lot there I can use. Most of the sounds I already have something similar or better. There's only 6 small kits of individual hits in there &...

Session Drums (Multimic, Studio, Club) Differences?
Session Drums Multimic Session Drums Studio Session Drums Club From the descriptions it doesn't seem like a big difference between them all. It doesn't tell what kind of drums are used or if all three packs are just the same kit recorded differently. Session Drums Multimic is the largest one, is tha...

Disabled Plugins Message
Anyone else experiencing this? I've been getting the disabled plugins message when opening my projects ever since Live 8 and it also happens in the Live 9 Beta. The message says the plugins could not be found, and are disabled. After clicking OK, the plugins are working normally in the project. It's...

Re: Recommend a duplicate audio file finder app
If anyone is interested, I decided to get dupeGuru . Very easy to use and had the most features when it comes to duplicates. There are regular updates & it seems supported well. I was able to save a few GB and reduce a lot of clutter from my sample library with it. You have to use some caution a...

Re: NI Transient Master or SPL Transient Designer.
Has anyone been able to get the demo mode of SPL Transient Designer working? I just get a screen to enter a serial number and no option to activate demo mode. Edit: Nevermind, you have to make an account with them first to get the demo working. But they don't really tell you that. I have Stillwell T...

Re: NI Transient Master or SPL Transient Designer.
Does Transient Designer still require iLok? It doesn't specify iLok under system requirements but it says something in the pdf about installation. I'm wondering if they might have dropped it...

Re: Machine Drum or Tempest...or ???
I know the suggestion is absolutely nothing new but I really wouldn't bother with any of them. Just use a 13" laptop (or iPad) with Ableton. It's almost the same size, more portable & does a lot more. I think modern hardware drum machines are overrated nowadays. I have a few analog hardware...

Re: Virus's on SonicTransfer Site (Ableton Skins)
Skins work fine. The editor crashes on Lion. I don't know about Mountain Lion, but I'd assume if the editor doesn't work on Lion, it probably wouldn't on Mountain Lion either...

Also, the skin editor doesn't work on Lion. I hope this doesn't just fade away, as it was a valuable tool.

Re: Digital clock sync & direct monitoring issue
I never got it to work with the TC Fireworx in the digital signal path. I contacted NI about it and it turned out that the Komplete Audio 6 is very finicky about the clock coming into it. They said they might check into improving the driver, but I haven't seen any updates yet. My only solution was t...

Re: Why do some "Mastering Engineers" require wavs at -6db?
"plenty of dynamic range" is exactly the point. If someone exports their track with less than -6db of headroom, there will not be enough dynamic range. A squashed file, turned down using a fader when mastering, is not the same thing as exporting a file with more headroom. If you export lo...

Re: Why do some "Mastering Engineers" require wavs at -6db?
Yeah I don't get this either. What's the difference if they lower the fader of a -2db mix & render that to -6db themselves or if you do that before sending it to them.
