Re: C Major & Chords...

the only info that I would add to that for the complete beginner is the number of semitones in each of those pitch intervals... minor 3rd = 3 semitones major 3rd = 4 semitones perfect 5th = 7 semitones diminished 5th = 6 semitones where a semitone is the pitch interval between each key and it's adja...

Re: Loud Fan Noise When Using LIVE

The airways and vents might need need cleaning out. My old Sony used to sound like it was about to lift off and had started to perform really badly. After cleaning out all the dust and cat hair it's like having a new computer - hopefully still got years of useful service left in it.

Re: The most easierst MIDI-Function in Live is not to find!!!!

The only thing I can think of is this... Use your keyboard to play a basic synth sound with a fast attack, 100% hold level, and a fast decay. Feed this into the side chain input of a gate. Feed your drone into the other input. You should be able to set it up so that the drone is only transmitted thr...

Re: Presonus FireStudio 26x26???

I've got a Firepod which is like an older version of the firestudio (I think) and it works fine with Live 8 and windows 10. So It's probably worth a try.

Re: So, who's ready for Windows 10?

Well I did it and amazingly it all worked first time including the ancient FirePod. I'm actually impressed. Has Microsoft finally got its act together?

Re: Sub genre overkill, not just an EDM problem

I've never understood the purpose of dividing music into genres. If you are looking for new music that resembles Miles Davis or Louis Armstrong for example, wouldn't it be beneficial to have a "Jazz" category in the music store, or website, or wherever to go through in your search for sim...

Re: So, who's ready for Windows 10?

Yeah, I had tried that a few times in the past :/ I have someone else holding onto it, so thankfully for my sanity I won't attempt it again out of hope for random luck :P This is pretty much how I feel about it. Even though I know I shouldn't bother I'm probably going to waste several days trying a...

just to be pedantic - you can clip a square or pulse wave till kingdom come and make no difference at all to it. So I guess pure Chip Tunes would survive reasonably intact.

most professional studios don't have windows, except the one between the control room and the performers area. You can use a mac for this but it has to be the transparent PVC type.
