Ypsi Kid - 119 Brown - Detroit Underground
Very happy to post my first album, 119 Brown on Detroit Underground. Super stoked to get a release on a label that I really admire and respect and a label that has been around a long time. I was fortunate enough to get some really positive feedback from Underworld of all people, saying my album insp...

Re: 'Melodics' - FREE finger drumming lessons (Ableton partner)
No idea, I'm fully up to date on everything though. Oh well, it's a really great app, hopefully their support has some ideas for me. Glad to hear I'm not the only one seeing this. I thought it was something to do its th config and I could not find anything outside of selecting a controller. Seems l...

Re: Reasons for keeping Push 1, please add yours
This really sucks - my Push 2 comes tomorrow and I'm afraid I may run into this if macs are affected as well. That's a pretty huge flaw as I'm sure a number of Ableton users are also Maschine Users (I use Maschine in my new track template when live loads).
Here's hoping.

Slicing: Maschine Studio vs PUSH II
Haven't seen this one discussed yet, but there has bee a lot of love for the new simpler and the slicing modes which also appear on PUSH II display as the waveform with the slice points. Maschine has been doing this since it came out, I'm not expert in it but it seems to work really well. Why should...

Re: Isotonik & PUSH 2
Thanks for the quick reply Darren. I'm just a bit miffed as I did invest in your tools, and most had a PUSH component which is what I liked as I wanted to move away from the laptop and start using controllers more - your arcade series and DJ Tools I use from the controller, so it would be kind of re...

Isotonik & PUSH 2
Darren and the Isotonik Crew: I'm debating over making the jump to PUSH 2, and one of the items that I need to know is whether your great devices will still be accessible via PUSH 2 or does it render all those great tools useless in the sense of breaking controller assignments? I'd hate to make the ...

Grids & Max7
Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone is using the Grids max4live device which mimics the Mutable Insteuments Module of the same name. Seems the drum patters aren't switching for me, wondering if anyone is seeing the same thing or has it working in the last version of live and max? Cheers.

Re: KIN - New Project
Thanks for checking it out man, appreciate it. Yeah I'm always looking to get better with my drum work to make them a bit more interesting and instrumentation is always a struggle for me, but definitely trying to get better!
Cheers.

KIN - New Project
Hey guys, just started a new project with a spoken word poet which I'm pretty excited about. A couple of the first tracks are linked below and would love to get some feedback. In terms of style, it's a mix of different styles, but in the lower BPM's. Pretty happy with this material and working on mo...

Re: Properloop v1.0
Thanks for the quick reply! Definitely see myself using this for sound design, I'm just on a kick right now try and do everything from my controllers, so that's where that question came from. I've looked briefly at trying, but my time is limited and I'd rather focus on music making! It would be grea...

Re: Properloop v1.0
Awesome idea, similar to Ultraloop from Twisted Tools. One thing that would make this even better would be a device for PUSH or APC40 to control the plugin Not sure how hard that would be to code, don't think terribly hard.
Think I'll have a look at this device, kool concept.

Deep Six (85bpm Downtempo)
Pretty happy with how this turned out. Ended up using a sample from a friend on Soundcloud (White Lightness) and several other sample sources for the main pieces of the track. Built the bass patch from scratch and used the resampling, frequency split method popular in DnB to process the bass sample:...
