Roughly 50,000 deaths per year are caused by all street drugs combined; Over half a million deaths a year are caused by alcohol and tobacco products, 50,000 drugs deaths but 500,000 fag and booze deaths. So booze kills 10 times more people than drugs. BUT, you have to offset that against how many p...

Celitc I 100% dissagree with your crap ass opinion and shit thinking. You have obviously been completly brainwashed and conditioned to believe that smack and other street drugs are the devils poison; while at the same time you accepted the fact that alcohol and tobacco are ok,,,, well they aren't. ...

it's insane that such barbarism can still exist in this day and age. I'll tell you what's barbaric. Scum like him selling a filthy drug like heroin to fund an easy lifestyle. If he wants money he should earn it like the rest of us and pay in to the tax system. Not avoid paying tax by selling a life...

Playing Live off a Laptop
Do all you guys who do Live performances in clubs with a Laptop have just Live and a minimal amount of other programs on it or do you use your Laptop as a total desktop replacement aswell as a Live tool. I guess what I'm asking is, can you fill a Laptop with loads of programs like Games, sound edito...

Cueing
A mate is trying to get to grips with Ableton but doesnt have a soundcard with 2 outputs to monitor the sound level of the next track. Is it possible to get round this in any way. Like setting the level visually by looking at the level meter like on a DJ mixer.

DJ mixers kind of have 2 controls. The gain knob sets the actual volume then the channel fader decides how much of that volume you want to use. I was just wondering if you can achieve a similar set up using a MIDI controller. If I could I could kill the track DJ style then snap it back in. Getting i...

Assiging 2 MIDI controls to 1 gain control
Is it possible to assign 2 controls to 1 Gain control on a track. So I could use a knob and a slider to control track volume like on a real mixer ?
Bit of a long shot I know.

Re: Ableton DJs, please pack your bags and go home
Guys, beatmatching is not even half of what DJing is about...congrats if you find out how to warp a track after your 2 month learning curve. However, DJing is about your tracks selection, the order you put it in, the flow, the moods you create with it- one that makes makes musical sense...and for G...

I'm sure I read somewhere that in Live 4 there was a bug which prevented you from using a MIDI controller to set BPM's with decimal points. IE 165.25 or 176.75 etc. It recommended setting the bpm range between 73 and 200 or equivalent so each of the 128 MIDI positions had a non decimal BPM value. Ha...
