I have the same problem (though it sometimes occurs without Pro). The whole session seems to "skip" on the loop points, and it's not a fades/zero crossings issue. It really messes up my workflow and slows me down, which is the opposite of what Live normally does!

PLZ FIX, ABLETONZ!

Hmm, no ideas, folks? This is really making things tough.

Setup:

Newest MBP, 2.66 mhz i7 processor, 10.6.3, 4 gb ram, Metric Halo 2882 interface, external (known good) firewire drive for audio

In some sets, I am having lots of issues with clicking/crunching artifacts, always at the end of a 2-4-bar phrase. The CPU meter shoots upward 10-20%, clickety ...

Also wanted to mention that I've done a clean uninstall of Pro Tools, wiped all prefs and really gave things a good scouring, including a new drop of Live 7.0.16, and unfortunately, the situation is the same.

I'm running Live on a Mac Pro (dual 2.66, 5gb ram). I had been running 7.0.2 alongside Pro Tools 7.4 HD on Tiger with no problems, mainly running in ReWire mode.

I just upgraded the computer to 10.5.7, upped PT to 8.0, and tried running 7.0.2. It got to the splash screen, to the section ...

Oh boy, am I happy! :) The funny thing is, the percentage doesn't hike up when I lower the buffer size to 128.

Now if I could just get this box to launch Pro Tools, I'd be over ...
