BTW, Sound Forge 10 has the capabilities of CD Architect now.
It is 2-3x the price, but you get a lot with it. (Noise reduction, a great audio editor, mastering plug-ins). It is also easier to use (IMO) than CD Architect.

It can't hurt you to get Windows 64 bit. My guess is Live 9 will be 64 bit which would allow much greater RAM than the current 4GB limit.
No problems running 32 bit programs on 64 bit OS.

I am thinking that they are taking very seriously the credibility of their program, given the crashes that some people have had.
Much better to release a more definitive upgrade. M4L only makes that a much harder task.

Re: Will you buy an iPad?
When I travel short distances, I use a phone if really needing to browse. When I'm at home, I can read a newspaper, books, have computers, have TV's. When I travel for longer periods of time, I still prefer the laptop and have my phone. I don't seen it having much usefulness for me. I'd still prefer...

Works quite well. Using the software, you can easily program and save/load presets that you make depending on what configuration you want. I have the FCB 1010, but prefer this pedal because of the ability to easier load/change presets. I have one set up with control of scenes (for recording). I have...

Windows 7 with no problems--awesome
My transition to Windows 7 was almost seamless, barring a couple of difficulties. I have a large amount of instruments, plug-ins and intefaces. A Sonalksis plug-in would crash programs, but only when in old projects. I had to uninstall this plug-in, open the projects, resave them and then I put the ...

Importing Master VST presets into another project--how to
I got a new computer with Windows 7. So far, I'm amazed at the improvement. Of course, the problem came when I had to open up old projects (from 8.09 from the old XP computer). I was getting crashes. So, I imported track by track successfully. (I think it was a VST problem.) Problem is that to compl...

A device like this may help the reamping to sound better.

It is well worth it. And you'll be able to reamp to your amps and record.

Have a folder named Ableton. Sub-folders named Ableton Library and Ableton Livepacks. Save the 10-pack to the Ableton Livepack folder.

Re: If you're looking for a USB powered Midi foot controller...
I vaguely recall that the FBV has buttons that click when you press on them. If you are doing acoustic recording, that may be a problem, since they would make a noise. The Behringer unit is a good one. The FBV Express is good if you are a guitar player and have a POD. Then you get the control of the...
