ah yes, I had a look at those too.

I think a) size and b) cost were the two main problems I had, and in the end I had to compromise a little. all worked out well though and I'm 100% happy with how its worked out.

I went for a combo of illuminated locking and normal momentary in the end.

so, you could try http://uk.farnell.com/jsp/home/homepage.jsp for starters!

hmm, other places, not too sure as I just googled away as much as I could. I ended up going round in circles really ...

Hey there macrostructure.

Thats a pretty nifty looking controller. I'm making one too at the moment. 700 seems pretty expensive though, what drove the cost up so high? maybe the buttons?

I had real trouble sourcing some decent buttons at reasonable cost. Everything else wasn't too hard though ...

Evrythings going cool, pretty much got everything I need sorted out, using the doepfer units as a base.

However, I seem to be having problems sourcing some decent buttons. I've looked at RS components, Maplin etc.. can't ...

It is a one off unit, and at the time I spoke to them they were in talks with various manufacturers. It cost £1500 to build. It weighs 25 kilos. Its deffo not really a production prototype at all, more a custom build ...

Not sure, just heard from someone likely to know that a dj-style MAudio box was on its way (a new model).

Didn't appear at Namm obviously, so must be a way off yet.

New here. Got a diy controller Q.

Hello All.

Been reading the forum for a while, haven't had much to contribute as I'm still a learner. Had Ableton for a year/18 months or so, so feeling like I'm getting there a little now. Obviously still got a lot to learn, but I'm enjoying the learning curve.
