Cut Time and Paste time in clip editing
This is a follow up to this question:
It seems like, unless there is something preventing those two commands from being implemented in the clip editing window, that those would complement Duplicate Time and Delete Time nicely.

Re: Cut Time and Paste time in clip editing?
Thanks! At least this time it wasn't me being dense...
I wonder if there is any technical or UX reason behind this. It looks like if something like Duplicate Time works there, the other should be able to work too from a UX point of view.

Cut Time and Paste time in clip editing?
When editing a midi clip, it looks like commands like Duplicate Time and Delete Time are available but not Cut Time and more importantly Paste Time which are both greyed out. Am I missing something obvious or is there a reason for these not to be applicable to clips just like they are in timeline ed...

Re: Menus and how to save their state
im trying to do the same thing as ledids i think, menu is generated from content of the liveset (it's a list of track names), i would like some way of live recalling what state the menu was in (including the current selection) at the time of save/close. I can think of a few potential ways but was w...

Re: Menus and how to save their state
Please check the "p parameter" subpatch in the pattr help patch. Be sure to set your parameter type appropriately. Also, the idea of dynamically loading menus seems to run counter with the idea of saving presets, no? Agreed, and this is actually related to another thread I posted on here ...

Re: Menus and how to save their state
Nope... just tried and this doesn't seem to work. The pattr object always reloads with a 0 value stored in it. Anyone successful at saving off values/states in live sets for objects other than live objects? no but i would like to know too :) I just made a post about this and then found this one via...

Re: Elegant way to select a device or parameter to affect
Can you elaborate on what you mean by 'sending midi to that track'?

Re: Elegant way to select a device or parameter to affect
It seems like I can't even go the midi way. midiinfo doesn't seem to be able to list any of the midi in/out devices when called from inside a device, unless I'm missing something.
It returns the name of the patch file instead?

Re: Elegant way to select a device or parameter to affect
well, might not be a real change to observe the mouse position and figure where it is... It would require something to be done on the Live side and my understanding is that any feature that requires this are the hardest one to push through right now. Abes/C74 peeps can chime in if I'm incorrect :D

Re: Elegant way to select a device or parameter to affect
I'dd just love to have the device/parameter reported that is mouse-over-ed. Now that I am getting an LCD tablet...mmmm.... yeah, ideally this would be great but I hear that any features that require code changes to Ableton is not easy to put in motion. Another way would be to create a parameter/pro...
