I am very interested to hear that Maxim. Do you use either a ibook 600 or a tiBook? I tested a g4 550 with 256ram today. It was an in shop demo machine. I got good performance under 0S 9.2. I diabled virtual memory and allocated memory for reason, although I couldn't allocate more memory for live. L...

Powerbook / OSX / Live 1.5 / Reason 2 / Cubase SX
I am about to purchase a G4 667 512Ram Powerbook to run Live 1.5 / Reason 2 / Cubase SX. Currently I am running a PIII 1Ghz 512Ram W2K box with a Pulsar 2 board / Cubase 5.1 / Reason 1.01 / Live 1.1.1. I get all the performance I need out of my pc however I am soon to begin performing live on stage....

LIVE XTC PLUG-INS
I don''t seem to be able to access the xtc effects of pulsar from within Live. Does anyone know how to set this up. I have installed xtc functionality in pulsar, checked enable xtc in pulsar preferences and specified the xtc directory in live. I can actually see the xtc folder and its directories, b...

40 tracks isn't that bad!! They don't all go at once!! What else do you expect for complex electronic music. You simply gotta use lots of tracks!!! This isn't rock and roll!!! Bouncing down could work but you would lose flexibility in the track. My processor is a PIII 1GHz with 512 ram. Thats gotta ...

Hard Disk Overload Indicator
Well its happened. My 7200rpm scussi drive is not enough for complex live sequencing. I have created 40+ tracks in a work and I am finding the overload indicator is on most of the time. While not all of these tracks are running simultaneously (21 are) it seems all too much for my hard disk to dish u...

I use a pulsar II board running version 3 software and live on a windows 2000 pc. I load the standard asio source module and thats it! No trouble at all. I also run reason and live at the same time. Reason slaves to live and both then run via the standard asio driver through pulsar and then to my am...

browser audition volume
I think some kind of browser audition volume might be nice. It would save cranking up the other tracks in order to get a relative audition level of possible new sounds. Also I wonder will it ever be possible to simply grab sounds from CD directly, that is not have to have them on the hard disk. I do...

automation
Some of my parameters, namely volume and panning, seem to be automated somehow. They have red highlight indicators around the setting boxes.
I am not sure how I am doing this. I am sequencing in the arranger only.
Stupid question hopefully, but how do I clear these?

track bouncing
You have to record the mix onto another track. Simply set a tracks input device to "master out" and press the record button for that track. You must set the audio record directory in misc preferences. On pressing record for the track your work will play and be recorded to the directory you...
