Just in case someone does experience this, you can get out of it by hitting Alt cmd esc, this seems to bring the mouse back for now - but obviously not a long term solution!

Why don't you just copy and paste all the tracks and scenes from the project thats stopped working and paste into a fresh new liveset, surely that will stop you from losing all your work?
