Hmm. I haven't posted in years now, but its Sunday morning and the Armenians drug me here. In the looks department, it appears as though these programs do the same thing, but they do not. Really. While it has some features Live has, its also Missing some, and vice versa. Big deal. Get back to your t...

Banaan Eleqtruiqe (sp) comes with Reaktor, and I'm really impressed with it, despite the fact that it eats cpu cycles for lunch.

Different Clip Display Modes

Many a time, staring at at the wave representation of a clip just isn't right for me -- it can be difficult when staring at a wave to figure out where something starts and where something begins, especially when dealing with complicated rhythms. Other ways of viewing your clips would be spectacular,...

The video is at harmony central, or if you're a registered live user, it's available for download here at the ableton site. I'm about to join a folkie type jam band using Live out of the mixer. Live out of the mixer, Reaktor on another mac at the effects front. Should be interesting, I'll post how i...

I dunno, I think most of the stuff I do in Live is pretty mainstream, as far as electronic music goes. I did a DJ set in Live that is pretty normal. Ehh, I've been promoting the same set for a while without telling anyone I did it in Live. Well, I did it in Live. Enjoy.

Speed? Who cares. Try using Reaktor as a VST effect. Turn it off. Now you'll think Live is a speed demon. If you've got Reaktor 4, try using their live-alike tool, it won't even run on my Powerbook. We need an update, but I'd rather have the program work right and be stable. 1. I haven't been able t...

Spektral Delay

Ok, Maybe I'm just a n00b with Mac's...

I just got NI's Spektral Delay for a STEAL @ < $30. I use OS X, and although the plug is in the right directory, it's now showing up in the plugins list in Live 2.03?

Help?

Thanks,

Mike

No, it's not like that.

Simply, I don't want it to be a place for people to bitch -- and yes, I'd be the number one offender.

If I can't use the software personally because of it's buggy state, why should I put my resources (mind you I'm paying for this out of my own pocket) to good use?

Back to the question at hand... I use a TiBook 867 w/500MB of RAM. I've loaded a few hundred (I name them, too many to count) scenes, and I've got something like 14 tracks going. No/Very Little effects however. For me, live is just a better way to record reason arrangements and play them back. At th...
