I'd like to see a return to values, morals, and decency in the lyrics and in the lifestyles of artists (and everyone else, for that matter), especially when it comes to influencing youth through music. It's the irresponsible and materialistic decay of our society (especially the US) that's contribut...

The creativity and flexibility of integrating audio and external video apps live in Live is huge. AV is here to stay. The synergistic power of well-executed audio and video (and lighting) is so much more entertaining and immersive than audio only, especially when done interactively with the crowd. A...

I'm having a great time getting back into playing a real instrument again without the crutch of a computer. It makes me realize why I got into music in the first place!

I find it hard to use 'laptop' and 'musician' in the same sentence.

IMO, we need a new descriptive noun... something above DJ but below musician, although it's a blurry area. Then perhaps the public will start to accept what is a relatively new form of musical entertainment.

It's show business. People expect and deserve to be entertained, even if it amounts to nothing more than cheerleading. IMO, if the music's good enough, nothing else is needed, especially with musicians playing instruments. Otherwise, some form of compelling visual entertainment helps and can certain...

What do they expect? Driving with cars they don't own, living in houses they don't own, but then they are surprised, if something needs repair or if they have to pay the bills one day? No sympathy with such "modern" ppl. Ditto. Foolish and irresponsible use of credit and living beyond one...

But no matter how fast technology changes, how much cheaper and easier software and hardware make it, top songwriting will remain the exclusive domain of the talented. All the technology in the world can't change that. IMO, today's technology just makes it harder to find the great music that's hidde...
