Well despite the initial reply from Ableton Support:

I got an email from Nathan at Kush Audio. Kush UBK-1 is crashing Live 9.2 Suite 32bit on

Windows 7 64bit.

Ableton (in their own words) have ''just deployed a new beta which contains a fix for the crashes

affecting Kush plugins on Live 9.2 32 ...

FM8 is working as expected for me on Win7, 32bit Ableton.

My update to v9.2 Suite was automatic, so I eventually uninstalled it, downloaded a fresh copy, and installed that instead. The reply I got from Ableton today would indicate that if you're having a problem, then the problem is with the Developer of the Plugin and not Live. No surprises there ...

So far I'm getting instant crashes with:

Antares
Celemony
Kush Audio
Lexicon (Reverbs are fine (MPX and LXP). Just the chorus crashing - must try a reinstall tomorrow)
NI Replika was crashing yesterday. Gotta confirm again later.
Slate Digital
SONiVOX (all except TimewARP2600)
Drumagog5

what if you only wanna clear some of the sets in the recent menu??instead of the whole list?

I never clear the entire list. I'll work on sub-group sets and physically delete them when they are no longer needed. Then I can reset the recent list with one click. It's a workflow thing for me.

Yes, there are two dedicated items in File > Open Recent Set:
* Remove Unavailable Sets
* Clear List

OK, here are the results of Todays Testing:

files = 511,160 KB
files.db-shm = 32 KB
files.db-wal = 9,676 KB

Saving is a lot quicker than it was previously.

After restarting my Laptop and deleting all three files, I restarted Ableton:

Mesage: 'Setting up Core Library...'

File sizes are now as follows:

files = 1 KB
files.db-shm = 224 KB
files.db-wal = 25,373 KB

Quite a difference (see previous post for original values).

I'll see how Ableton behaves ...

Close Ableton Live. Find {user}\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live 9.0.4\Database\files.db

Find files.db - notate file size and report it here -

Delete files.db

Restart PC then boot Ableton.

Been waiting a good 20 minutes now for Live 9.0.4 (PC) to save a set that has a few WAVs, a Drum MIDI and a Bass MIDI. Frustrating. Not really expecting an answer. Just thought I'd post how much this feels like a long commute to and from work. :roll:
