why can't i mute a drum rack midi track??

i'm in session view. I have a drum rack (using external instrument) controlling a Stylus RMS module. I record midi notes onto the drum rack track, and then play the track, but when I mute the track, the sounds still play. But if I setup a separate midi track WITHOUT a drum rack and have it trigger s...

i had that same problem until I bought the program. Then, as i recall, i had to remove the instances of it on my tracks, and drag it in again. After that, problem solved. I'm also pretty sure that they mention somewhere that if you use the demo after a certain period of time you will get that noise....

thanks Jekblad, maybe using clips is better. I want to use a padkontrol with a drum rack, and do a sort of Kid Beyond type of thing. I want to start an 8 bar shaker loop, then improvise with percussion sounds in the drum rack, and when I like what i'm playing, record it, and loop it, and then contin...

Midi pedals and Live...Kid Beyond type of thing, percussion

is there a good source/tutorial out there for setting up Live with a multipedal controller, so I can quickly build loops playing my African drums? I'm fried on user manuals, so i was hoping for some spoon feed tutorial about setting up something like that....for example if i have a midi controller w...

Not sure if this helps, but...

the version of Live that I have doesn't allow for dragging an RMX midi file into Live. Instead I have to drag it to my desktop, or a folder, and then get the midi file in Live. Dragging it won't work.... so when i load the midi file in Live, everything works fine, dragging notes up and down to have ...

because i'm starting my songs with rhythms, grooves which sound interesting BECAUSE they are not quantized. I thought it would sound more interesting to use the feel of my groove and apply it to other loops.

can loops conform to a human groove?

If i record myself playing congas, and bring that audio loop into Live, i can see where i was late or early in my playing , but if i like that natural feel, how can i make a 4/4 audio sample of a breakbeat, conform to my groove? in Reason, i can play a groove on my keyboard using drum samples or wha...
