Re: Recommend a SUB-WOOFER for EVENT TR8 Monitors!

have you tried just walking around the room? in general unless your room is treated (especially one that small) the bass is going to be unreliable. maybe some bass traps instead. but when i used to have my 20/20bas (almost the same thing as the tr8) the bass was much louder if I just walked back ag...

Recommend a SUB-WOOFER for EVENT TR8 Monitors!

Hi everybody! For the last couple of years I've been mixing my productions on my EVENT TR8 monitors and then using the sub in my car as a second test re: the low-end of the tracks. Unfortunately, the front speakers in my car seem to have blown and, so, when I turn up the car's stereo volume the spea...

Re: How to do this in Live 8? (Midi & Scales ...)

Thank you all very much for the quick, helpful, and non-judgmental replies :)

The Covert Operators Live pack is EXACTLY what I'm after. It's awesome - so thankful to have found it.

Cheers.

How to do this in Live 8? (Midi & Scales ...)

Hey folks :) Okay, I realize that this wreaks of supreme laziness but I'm no musician so... Is it possible in Live 8 to use one (or more) of the MIDI plug-ins/FX to force Live to stay within a certain scale *as one plays on a MIDI keyboard*? For instance, if I decide that I want to write a melody wi...

Re: Please help What gear should I buy?

If you're just starting out and looking only to produce, IMO you need i) a good sound card (e.g. Echo AudioFire 2 or 4), ii) a reliable sequencer (e.g. Live), iii) a MIDI keyboard (you don't need anything special here, e.g. I use the M-Audio Keystation 49e), and (very importantly) iv) a pair of good...

Re: Live 8.0.8/8.0.9 + Win7 BUG: Live keeps Forcing Pitch Up?!

Everything worked perfectly on Windows XP. You may be correct re: the sound card drivers. The Echo AudioFire cards do not yet have any Windows 7 specific drivers; so, I've been using the Vista drivers.

All in all it isn't a huge problem; it's quite annoying though!

Live 8.0.8/8.0.9 + Win7 BUG: Live keeps Forcing Pitch Up?!

Hi folks. Windows 7 Ultimate (7100) + Ableton Live 8.0.8 and 8.0.9. Every 30 mins or so while working in Live, my monitors will make a click noise and immediately afterward the pitch (and possibly the BPM) of all the sounds playing in Live jumps up. The only way to fix the issue is to shut down and ...

My understanding is that scrolling over to return tracks is currently impossible (at least using the default setup).
