I like the new sequencer and the regroove machine.

Thor also looks like a cool new synth.

Really cannot complain about Reason concept -- fast, stable and fun to play with. Rewiring R4 into Live6 is all I need if audio recording/manipulation is required.

not sure whether this is what you're lookin for but...try holding the CTRL key while you arm the tracks for recoding. good luck, GB.

Propellerhead has 2 cool refills: reason pianos and reason electromechanical. you always can rewire reason to live and use both. Both are great in terms of sound. Anyway, just my 2 cents. Good luck!

been playing gtr for many years now.
my 2 cents:

* live gigs --> line6 pod. extremely versatile. amp simulation is top notch.

* computer recording --> either NI Guitar Rig or Amplitube 2 do the job well. now line6 has GearBox which is cool as well.

interesting to learn the saffire works connected to a 4pin fw connector (i have one in my laptop as well), i thought one had to have a pcmcia-based , 6pin fw port in order to get it to work.

cool david, tks for your feedback. are you running xp sp1? why do you think you had to reinstall the whole system to have the saffire running well again? (just want to understand if it seems a problem associated with the audio interface or with the peculiarities of your computer platform). tks again ...

Folks, Im thinking about getting myself a focusrite saffire. Any users out there who could kindly provide some feedback about it? (features, latency, usage experience with live 5, etc). Comparisons against Edirol's FA-66 and Presonus' Inspire 1394 are welcome. Tks in advance.

Folks, interesting discussion. I do have a question -- what about Focusrite new interface (Saffire), on a iLink 1394 (FW) 4pin port, does it work nice? I own a Toshiba Satellite S520 with such port; want to buy this audio interface. tks in advance for any hints.
