it is probably massive overkill, but I have an 18" JBL sub paired up with my Alesis M1 MK2 monitors. I originally only did mixing in my studio which is why i got it, but I couldn't imagine not having it (especially if your monitors can't put out much bass)

I would recommend firewire all the way. Comparing theoretical speed numbers between usb 2.0 (480Mpbs) and firewire 400 (400Mbps) would make you think usb is faster but it is not (google it for proof). Because of the peer to peer, interrupt basis of firewire it can be anywhere from ~30% - 70% faster ...

This might actually be the rebate offer Ableton has going on. I just checked at www.samash.com and www.sweetwater.com and there is a rebate you can send into Ableton.

I sure hope they do this on the website. I am almost ready to to upgrade from Live 7 LE to the full suite and 25% would be the deal closer for me.
