No idea what you are talking about. In the envelope tab all I have is volume and transpose. Gain, offset and flux are there but grayed out. I do not see pitch anywhere in the sample edit area for the clip.

I have a rex bass loop where I want to automate transposition of the track. Is there a way to do this on a specific clip so I can have the bass line follow the lead as the song progresses?

I download a live pack that has some sampler patches. I do not have sampler but was wondering if there was a way to get those patches to work in simpler. They are .adg and .adv files.

Finally learning some neat stuff in ableton and have been working on my second track for about a week. It is made 100% in ableton using the NI FM8 Synth and basic drum samples.

I think it is a big improvement on my first track but let me know your thoughts!

Well if it helps qualify your reply I will be using quite a few tracks. Currently a song I am working on has 14 scenes and over 50 clips. But really I just need this audio interface to feed audio to monitors and headphones. There is a chance I would use a hardware synth but I will not be using any ...

Just to give you all more info I will be using soft synths only for my productions and really only need the audio inferface to go to monitors and headphones.

My budget is $400 or less. The only thing I like about the NI is the price and it comes with a free synth. Other than that I am open to suggestions. Just out of curiousity why is firewire better?

Just picked up a new Mac and Ableton. Been reading the forums and found that most people recommend the NI Audio Kontrol. However since I have firewire on my Mac should I be looking at firewire interfaces?
