Check out the Line 6 Toneport UX2. Just got mine a couple of weeks ago and I am very happy with it. The latency is almost non-existent and the modeling effects are superb.

I use Acronis True Image 8.0. I like it a lot, luckily I have not had to use it to restore yet. I never really liked using Ghost and this is a solid alternative.

Freeze with Tones mode

I would like to be able to freeze a track and its warp settings would match whatever you had originally warped your clips with. So if you have two clips on a track (one with Tones mode and another with Complex for example) your frozen track would be rendered and warped with the same settings (produc...

I use Elemental Audio Eqium and Neodynium mostly - awesome plugins.
Although the Live EQ 4 and Compressor II are actually quite good, too.

Show VST gui on click

It would be nice if the user had an option (perhaps in Preferences) to when they click anywhere on a VST plugin window in the effects section of a track the VST gui opens instead of having to click on that tiny wrench icon. I don't usually map XY parameters and for people like me who use VST compres...

I like the buzzroom roomverb. Very low CPU and good sound.
It's free too.

The buzzroom compressors are pretty nice too, btw.

I have a Targus XL backback and it is great. Plenty of room for a large laptop and a small keyboard controller, plus cables, headphones, even a mic. The laptop compartment protection is pretty decent - you can always get a Tucano laptop sleeve for extra protection. http://www.tucano.it/ENG/html_este...

Some of my favorite sounding electronica albums are:

Dead Cities - Future Sound of London
Dots and Loops - Stereolab
Tri Repetae - Autechre

Good Luck!

I have a Dell Inspiron 600M 1.8Ghz with 1gb ram and it's a solid performer. I can run ASIO4All v2 at 7ms with the onboard sound with no problems using Live 4 and Reason 3 - I'm loving it. My only regret is that there is no firewire built into that model.

The wheels are great, very smooth, no juggle at all and they are made with a rubbery material so the grip is good. I like how the red light inside the mod wheel gets brighter the more you turn it. Very cool. The knobs feel solid too. The overall build quality is very good. The AXYZ controller is a n...

Alesis Photon x25 review

In case anyone's interested. I got this a couple of weeks ago. My first impressions were that it was bigger than I thought it would be. So keep this in mind if size is really important, cuz it's kinda bulky. I managed to find a large Taurus XL computer backpack at BestBuy that it fits nicely into, s...
