Among Live's effects generally I really like the frequency shifter. You can get some really dirty vibrato and ring mod sounds with that. I've mostly used M4L for modulation stuff so far. It boggles my mind, to a point of fascination to see such a lack of respect of the miracles of technology. Also, because I used to be the same way, except with mackie tracktion, a beloved software to me. I'm hoping live is continuing, and will stick with it as long as possible.

Watch sports. Facebook. Watch political news. Go to church. Enroll yourself in college. All the institutions are set up to distract you from your life. Or maybe whine on a user based forum to a company about a potentially non existing software version number.

Try learning one effect or vst for a month. Live 8 can handle that. Didn't you ever hear keep it simple stupid? Do some research on the history of electricity. It'll blow your mind. Take a look at the history of all the music that has already done what you're trying to do. Research recording history...

I think instead of releasing live 9, ableton should open new forum sections on their site: "WHINING", "BORING DJ'S THAT THINK THEY'RE AMAZING BECAUSE THEY CAN TRIGGER PREMADE MP3'S OF OTHER MUSICIANS, WHO ALSO DON'T KNOW GRAMMAR".

When you guys say people can't make music with Live 9 if they can't make music with the current version 8, I don't think you get it. It doesn't work like that all the time.
