Re: rewire broken

thanks for the reply... that seems to have worked... I also deleted a rewire file in the root of the application support folder, then reinstalled rewire.

rewire broken

Since 8.08 rewire seems to crash Ableton without fail. My system is practically unusable as rewire is my main mode of work. 8.09 does the same and for some reason when I've switched back to 8.03 and 8.05 starting a rewire app also crashes Live. I'm on Mac 10.5.8. Any help would be appreciated as I u...

Re: "touch only" - record automation

Wow, it's good to get some clarity on this. I just thought I was using Ableton wrong... now I see its a serious oversight. I guess you could make separate dummy clips for each automation you want to record and collapse them into a group, but thats a pretty complex workaround.

Re: Tape Delay Plug-In Suggestions?????

Audio Damage Dubstation is pretty awesome. Cheap and it really nails the old skool dubby tape delay sound. http://www.audiodamage.com/effects/product.php?pid=AD006 The sound of the pitch changes when you adjust the delay time are to be reckoned with. IMHO. Also you gotta ride the regen control, beca...

Re: New Uhbik beta (with Granular Pitch Shifter) available

Yeah these plugins are totally worth the price of admission. I use them all the time, they all sound terrific. Up till this point I've only picked up the random Audio Damage plugin, but I shelled out for these with no hesitation.

Re: Why must everybody shat on the APC because of the Launchpad?

I think the APC makes some compromises to be a good solution for live performance and composing. For me its really great when I'm writing a song and need to quickly record phrases and adjust levels of tracks... the sliders and traditional mixer approach with record arming per track make it feel much...

Re: is this considered "cheating" as a dj?

Planning the sets is how you learn. I'm starting to lay my sets out linearly in the arrangement view, seeing what works... rearranging track parts and then cutting it up into pieces and dropping it into session view, then jamming out and experimenting... I will reiterate something that I keep hearin...

Re: You guys seen this yet? (Sugar Bytes Eloquence)

If you're on Mac I'd hold off for Five12 Mononote AU, I'm helping test it right now and it'll do everything that Eloquence will, with less latency and it will be cheaper. Will it be usable as an arp or just mono step sequencer? And will it only be AU? No VST? It will be AU only. Its a mononote sequ...

Re: Will Max For Live be ever released?

You know I'm starting to wonder if the issue maybe isn't if it's done or not, but more of a negotiation thing between the two companies.... we have no idea what the pricing on M4L will be... considering that Max/MSP + Jitter is $700... who knows how much M4L will cost and who knows how what kind of ...

Re: Midi Interface for a Midi Guitar

I want to connect to Live, mostly for composing. Would this setup do: Axon: http://www.thomann.de/gb/terratec_axon_ax_50_usb.htm Nylon strung Classical Guitar: http://www.thomann.de/gb/godin_acs_sa_natur_sg_akustikgitarre.htm Yes that will work, the other viable option is the Roland GI-20 usb conve...
