Re: renaming vst's in osx?

I don't get people who infer from a reply that someone is 'upset' :P Fact is, I legitimately hit up against this issue today. The snippy little (Mac zealot) punk needed putting in his place! Haha... Btw - solved the problem through a bit of package hackely-doodlie :) Unfortunately, a little unclear ...

Re: renaming vst's in osx?

Why would we want to do this? Here's a good reason. The developer accidentally changes the name to omit a space between versions, and the project won't load unless you rename the VST correctly, and it's a weekend and you can't wait for the developer to fix the problem and reissue a new installer. I ...

Re: M4L Convolution Reverb Pro loses decay % upon save + reopen

Save, close, reopen: decay reloads just as I saved it. Hmm, interesting. Just to clarify, in my case the decay % value loads as saved, however the decay time value reverts to the default for the IR. Is that also true in your case? (the non-default decay time value is recalled upon reopen?) Either w...

My version is the pack which I downloaded after purchasing Live Suite 10. I don't have the other, so I can't test.

I just created a new set, dropped the M4LCRP in, set the decay %, saved, closed, reopened - same thing. Did I find an itty-bitty bug? :)

M4L Convolution Reverb Pro loses decay % upon save + reopen

When I dial an IR preset back to 35% decay (to reduce the time from 4.44 sec to 1.59 sec), whenever I save, close, and reopen the file, the decay parameter is back on 35% but the decay time of the IR shows as 4.44 again (and sounds accordingly long). It's starting to get a bit frustrating to have to...

So, when will the detailed list of 'workflow enhancements' be posted so we can finally stop speculating about whether this was included?!.. I'm still holding on to hope!.. Even the ability to draw straight frickin' lines in the velocity editor would be a godsend!!..

Thanks for the reply :) I'm on Vista SP1, which I don't believe to be the problem, because as much as everyone disses it, I have a couple of friends who are running it flawlessly. I'm actually using the onboard graphics as I built this machine purely for Audio so didn't see the need for a fancy grap...

hard disk overload on brand new machine

Hi Guys, I've just built a new PC with a 7200 RPM 500GB HD, but Live is showing the Hard Disk Overload Indicator peaking out most of the time... Also, I'm having serious instability problems with Sample based ROMplers like NI Akoustik Piano, and Kontakt whereby they just crash sometimes randomly, fr...

Can we pleeease host VSTi's while rewired (as slave)

The tedious task of rendering each track out for final engineering in Cubase (to avoid Live's characteristic summing engine) is wearing seriously thin on me, and I'm baffled as to why we aren't yet able to host vsti's while in rewire slave mode. Not wishing to cause any offence whatsoever (I'm a dev...

Yeh, no mention of this in the announcement, any alpha testers or Abletons themselves shed any light on what sort of changes (if any) we can expect?

Yeh, and just to be able to transpose single, and groups of clips like Cubase can, would be greatly appreciated.

Still no idea what causes this? :(

It bust be something to do with the install because some people experience it, and others don't ?!?

I'm going to clean-install very soon - does anybody know whether this will do the trick? Has this worked for you?

Does anyone know how I'd get around this in the mean time? Until such a feature is added? Several attempts so far have failed :(

Cheers :D
