Ableton Love thread

I've noticed that a lot of people are pretty harsh when reporting bugs and requesting features for Live. I'm just hoping the developers aren't taking this too seriously. Live is, imo, a brilliant piece of software and a refined piece of art. Keep up the good work :).

Play around with the grain delay, it has an inbuilt real time pitch shifter. You'll need to set spray, rand pitch and feedback to 0. You'll be able to get small adjustments like with a wammy bar as well, although if you want to get vibrato or something you'll have to use a midi LFO on the grain dela...

lol, i remember doing something similar. I use to calculate LFO times in milliseconds so they'd be in sync. Then i realised (like delays) most plugins have to option to automatically sync LFOs.

Hmm, seems that there was a midi control #64 signal that controls sustain. You learn something new every day.... Is there any way to actually view the midi control signals in the midi file?

Piano learning software

Hey just wondering if anyone knows of any good software for learning the keyboard? Google shows up a bit but i'd rather use something recommended. On an old thread on psynews ppl were just saying get a real teacher, but I know really good software exists because i used a program in school (about a d...

MIDI file plays back as if sustain pedal is held down

I'm hoping someone can explain this to me... A midi file normally contains only note sequencing, velocity and pitch bend data right? Something has happened that's confused the hell out of me. I loaded a midi file into a track that has Tension on it (with the acoustic piano preset). Never before have...

Maybe by "alias" they mean a shortcut? Though it doesn't say what to call the shortcut. Maybe just try giving it any name and see if it works... let me know.
