I dont think you can do this from the current decks that are usb equipped. I'm assuming you mean control like as in a DVS system (Traktor/serato etc). Unless live clocks the bpm in some way from the turntable.

If you can have all them then why not? Thats the only way your going to know for sure what your comfortable with. The SSL mixer in Record is awesome though, but Live has definitly changed the way we work on tracks. I'm gonna use all of them, what is it they about "jack of all trades...?"

I still can't get used to ableton for dj'ing. I use Traktor with a controller & mix the "oldskool" way! As in I don't sync or warp or beatgrid etc. I use Live for production & i'm happy with it set up this way. Everyones different so maybe a different set up is what would suit you.

This might sound obvious, but have you checked your soundcard settings? it maybe that Sonar changed something during the installation when it does its "wave profiling".
